Disrupting Exploitation
Guest Speaker: Lin Sands
A significant portion of Lin’s work has focused on modernising and updating the NWG Exploitation Toolkit, one of the first resources of its kind developed in the country. She has collaborated closely with the NWG team and its members to make the toolkit more accessible for all partners and individuals working in this field.
During the session, Lin will provide a live demonstration of the resource and explain how the toolkit can support your work in safeguarding children, young people, and their families from exploitation. She will also share real-life case examples, highlighting how creative, effective, and collaborative approaches have led to successful disruption.

Safety Planning for Risk Outside the Home (ROTH)
What Do We Mean By Safety Planning for Risk Outside the Home?
Safety Planning is a proactive, person-centred approach to identifying and preparing for potential risks or crisis situations. At its core, it’s about empowering individuals with tools, strategies, and support networks that can help them feel safer and more in control of their circumstances.
As part of this, we’ve conducted a national piece of research exploring how safety planning is currently being approached across different regions and sectors. We’ll share key findings, highlight examples of innovative practice, and open up the discussion about where we go from here.
This is also an opportunity to hear from you – to understand challenges, share successes, and learn from best practice together.
We invite you to PAUSE, REFLECT, LEARN, and SHARE your experiences around Safety Planning for Risk Outside the Home in a supportive and engaging environment.
