Who we are

SaferNow is a UK-based organisation dedicated to improving safeguarding practices and empowering professionals who support young people. We create resources and training on contextual safeguarding for UK local authorities, agencies, and organisations. Why we’re contacting you

We’re inviting professionals like you to share your insights into how effective safety planning is evolving. We believe your perspective can help shape better support systems for young people at risk of harm, based on your role in safeguarding young people or youth services. We sourced your contact details from publicly available directories, professional networks, and/or referrals.

What this research is about

This project aims to build a clearer picture of effective safety planning. Specifically: the benefits of, and barriers to, creating effective safety plans, what’s changing within practice and methodology, and tools practitioners can utilise for efficient and effective safety planning. Your input will help inform future training, resources, and guidance across the sector.

What data we collect

If you choose to take part in our research, we may collect the following information, if applicable:

  • Your name and professional role

  • Your organisation 

  • Your responses to survey or interview questions

  • Any additional comments or feedback you choose to share

We will not collect sensitive personal data, and you’re free to skip any questions or withdraw at any time. 

How your data will be used

  • To analyse trends and themes in safety planning

  • To produce anonymised summaries or reports

  • To inform future safeguarding tools and training

We will never use your data for marketing or share it with third parties. All responses will be stored securely and anonymised before publication. We will not publicly disclose your data without your written consent; if consent is required, for example, if you were to grant us an interview, we will write to you requesting consent.

  • Withdraw your participation at any time
