Incels and Misogynist Online Spaces
Designed and led by Meadhbh Park, an extremism researcher, this training provides insight into the incel worldview and misogynist online spaces, as well as the vulnerabilities and mindsets of young people who are drawn into them. It offers deep insights based on interviews with young people who self-identify as incels, real cases, and an overview of the risks of the incel worldview — including mental health issues, extreme isolation, anger and resentment, self-harm, suicidality, substance abuse, abuse towards women and girls, and violence.
Leaving this training, delegates should be able to indentify warning signs, risks, and available pathways of support.
