Violence Fixation and Violent Extortion Groups
Designed and led by Meadhbh Park, our researcher in extremism, this training provides an overview of online groups, subcultures and ecosystems that promote violence — in the forms of violent sextortion, self-harm and suicide coercion, animal abuse, extremism, satanic Nazism, sexual abuse, vandalism, arson, swatting, doxxing, cyberattacks, murder, and mass attacks in schools and community spaces.
It equips frontline practitioners and parents with knowledge of groups such as The Com and 764, which target vulnerable youth online, as well as other subcultures that promote spreading chaos, glorifying mass attacks and inflicting harm on people and society.

Develop a working understanding of current violent groups and spaces that target and attract vulnerable young people.
Understand the vulnerabilities and mindsets of young people who are drawn into violence fixation, violent groups and spaces.
Identify the warning signs and risks of young people engaging in these groups and spaces, and available pathways of support.

This training is suitable for any teams working with children, such as Children's Services, Alternate Provision Staff, Youth Service, and third sector support services.

We offer both half and full day versions of this training, for online or face to face delivery.
